About SFU Ballroom Dance Club
Ever wondered what Ballroom Dancing is? Ever wanted to dance freely and beautifully to the enchanted melodies? Here is a chance to get rid of the two left feet.
Simon Fraser University Ballroom Dance Club was established in the January of 2008 by some passionate and enthusiastic students who are competitive dancers in B.C. The goal of the club is to provide ballroom dance lessons and to promote competitive dance/sport in a friendly and social environment.
Weekly lessons are offered all year round and focused on the international style of Ballroom dancing. International dancing includes both standard and latin. Standard includes Slow Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, and Quickstep. Latin includes Samba, Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive. Other than lessons, parties and practices are also offered all year round.
There is a dancer in everyone and dancing is the greatest form of art in expressing oneself. So, come join SFUBDC and start your exciting ballroom dancing experience!!!

JC Dance Co’s annual December Magic Christmas Party will be held on Saturday, December 5th at the Broadway Ballroom. Please join us for an evening of fun, food and entertainment! There will be shows by Joel & Clara, as well as their students and general dancing throughout the evening.

WHEN: Tues (Beginner / Broze), Wednesday (advance) at 5:30-7pm WHERE: Atrium Cafeteria at Maggie Benston Centre (MBC) (2000 Level) (Eating area beside Bubble World, Mr. Sub, and Koya Japan) PRICE: $8 drop in, $6o for 9 lessons and membership, $6 membership DURATION (PAID): September 22nd to November 30, 2009 (No lessons on September 29, 30) LIMITED TIME OFFER: Free lessons on September 15, 16 of 2009 In addition to the regular classes listed above, SFUBDC will be hosting a ... Welcome (back) to SFU Ballroom Dance Club. This Wednesday (May 13, 2009), we will be offering free dance lessons. Official summer dance classes will begin on May 21, 2009. Lessons will be at the same place as last semester (MBC 2000 Level).
